Formsprag Clutch sprag retainer assemblies and bi-directional clutches and backstops are used on fixed and rotary wing aircraft flight controls, actuators, positioners, and APU and engine starters as well as on a variety of onboard material handling actuation and holding systems including davits, hoists, and lifts. Formsprag clutches and backstops can also be found on marine vessel main propulsion layouts and auxiliary power generation systems.
