Formsprag overrunning clutches are used to connect the dual drives to the conveyor on continuous casters. Heavy-duty Formsprag LLH Holdbacks are mounted on headshafts to prevent the conveyor from running backwards when stopped. Formsprag backstops are also utilized to prevent reverse rotation of conveyors on stackers and reclaimers.
