PRODUCT TRAINING SCHEDULE

Formsprag Clutch in Warren, Michigan is planning a series of Overrunning Clutch Factory Schools that are designed to expand on the product curriculum taught in the Warner Electric Basic School. Emphasis is on understanding Sprag clutch basic principles and on applying them. Each two day school will cover Formsprag and Stieber clutch design, applications, selection, lubrication, the rebuild program, and how to sell against competition. This school will include hands-on experience in assembling an FSO-500 clutch and changing the rotation with the Sprag retainer assembly. Class size is limited to 6 people in an effort to provide for the best learning environment.

This school is designed for our Field Area Sales Managers, OEM’s and distributor personnel. Formsprag provides the meals and local accommodations in Warren, MI. Travel and personal expenses are the responsibility of the individual participant. This year’s school schedule is as follows:

Warner Electric & Formsprag Clutch are pleased to offer our distributors and customers 'Live' 'Interactive' Product Internet training programs.

These sessions allow the participants to review PowerPoint presentations, while in direct contact via phone, with one of Warner Electric's training staff.

These training sessions allow distributor personnel to learn more about our products for a maximum time investment of only 60 minutes, with the added convenience of being at the location of your choice - your home or office.

Up to five locations can be accommodated at each session allowing tailored to the knowledge level and requirements of the group.

DISTRIBUTOR TRAINING SCHOOLS

ROTARY MOTION BASIC SCHOOL

Objective:  To increase each student’s knowledge of Warner Electric clutches, brakes and controls, Formsprag overrunning clutches, Tension Control Systems and Sensor products.  The focus of the school is on function, application and market awareness for each product.  Hands-on sessions and problem solving exercises are included.

Timing:  Each school will be 2-1/2 days long.

Who Should Attend:  Distributor personnel who are involved in selling and selecting Rotary Motion products.

FORMSPRAG FACTORY SCHOOL

Objective:  To expand on the overrunning clutch product curriculum taught in the Rotary Motion Basic School.  Each two-day school will cover Formsprag and Stieber Clutch engineering, applications, selection, lubrication, rebuild program and selling against competition.

Timing:  This is a two-day training session.

Who Should Attend:  Experienced distributor personnel who want to be become more familiar and effective with Formsprag Overrunning Clutches.

TENSION SYSTEMS SCHOOL

Objective:  To provide an overview of Warner Electric products used in tension systems.  The class will review applications for unwind, rewind and zone tensioning.  These will include products ranging from the magnetic clutches and brakes, Magnetic Particle clutches and brakes, Electro-magnetic Tension systems, Pneumatic Tension systems, and AC/DC drives for tensioning applications.

Who Should Attend:  Experienced Distributor personnel who wish to be more familiar and effective with the full range of Warner Electric solutions for Tension control that will lead to expanded sales opportunities.

PRODUCT APPLICATION SCHOOL

Objective:  This school is an opportunity to create and confirm application-making skills. The school targets the making of applications using clutches and brakes, controls and sensors.  We use a group problem solving process to review several common application problems, and the clutch/brake, control and sensor solutions for these.  The school emphasizes complete application selling and the benefits that solutions will bring to customers.

Who Should Attend:  Experienced Distributor personnel who wish to be more familiar with the full range of Warner Electric Sensor products and their uses in solutions that lead to sales growth.  Students should have attended a Rotary Basic School or have a strong awareness of Warner Electric products prior to attending this class.

PROFESSIONAL SELLING SKILLS

Objective:  To provide skills for new sales people, or existing sales staff who need to tune up their selling skills.  The PSS system creates skills in each phase of the sales process.  The PSS system uses Customer Need Satisfaction Selling as the basis for this program.  It stresses the identification of customer need, presentation of product features and benefits, resolution of drawbacks and objections and closing of opportunities.  The PSS system uses materials and presentations from Achieve Global and has a long track record of creating skills in new sales people and improving skills in existing sales people. 

Timing:  The PSS school is a 2-1/2 training session.

Cost:  There is a cost of $425.00 per person to cover material costs.

Course Scheduling:  This course can be set up through your Colfax PT Group salesperson to be held for your organization or will be scheduled regionally based on expressed interest.  The course works best in groups of 6-12 individuals in multiples of three.

 

COST CUTTING IDEA SCHOOL

Objective:  To provide ideas that customers can use that will reduce costs. The school focuses on reducing costs by:

  • Reducing scrap or overage rates
  • Avoiding downtime or reducing downtime

Timing:  This is a single day school that will start at 8 am and finish at 5 pm.

Who Should Attend:  Distributor sales personnel who are familiar with Warner Electric products.
